How do you clean a medical grade non-contact thermometer?
For a medical device such as a non-contact thermometer, it would be recommended that you take an approved wipe. For a non-contact thermometer, this would have to be an alcohol based substance in it to clean the device. But the key part is how you clean the lens of the device, how you clean the sensor, because that’s the collection point that collects the infrared energy coming off the patient’s forehead. You must only use a product that is alcohol based, either isopropyl or ethyl alcohol to clean that part of the device, and it must be cleaned very, very gently.
