Digital Innovation is increasingly becoming a top priority in the healthcare sector as time and budget pressures increase. Hospitals worldwide are looking for ways to innovate and introduce new technology to solve common, yet critical healthcare problems.
Ireland’s Health Service Executive (HSE) is making strides to drive digital innovation throughout the island. TriMedika’s CEO, Dr. Róisín Molloy, and HSE’s Director of Digital Transformation, Prof. Martin Curley, recently came together to discuss their partnership and how it has helped to deliver on the HSE’s ambition to be viewed as a digital health leader in Europe.
“Every time we make these digital interventions, we’re trying to achieve the quadruple aim: lower cost, improved quality of care, improved quality of life, and improved condition experience. The TriMedika products deliver on all of these.”
Prof. Martin Curley
In the full report, Prof. Curley and Dr. Molloy discuss how the partnership between the two organisations has helped to address challenges exacerbated by the pandemic such as infection control. Through enhancing technology and introducing TriMedika’s TRITEMP™ non-contact thermometer the HSE was able to quickly achieve benefit.
During the pandemic many hospitals faced shortages of essential equipment due to supply chain disruption. Belfast-based TriMedika saw no interruption to supply and was able to provide every acute hospital in Ireland with their TRITEMP™ non-contact thermometer, now used in 200 locations across the country.
